The contributors and editors to this book are against any violence or threats of violence, or ad hominem attacks, as ways to resolve these issues. We denounce those who indulge in these ways, often done out of emotional desperation. But such moves mask the intellectual issues we seek to debate openly, and set back our goals.
We are against censorship, including any attempt to silence those we oppose. we respect their free speech and merely wish to expand the discourse to add our perspective as equals.
Clarifications
The editors would be grateful if anyone who finds legitimate mistakes or misquotes in the text of this book, or in email exchanges about the book, would keep us informed, so that such misquotes or mistakes may be posted here, under “Clarifications.”
ERRATA
(1) In section I, chapter 3, page#27 ,”…the eighteenth century Hindu mystic, Sri Ramakrishna..”. should read “…the nineteenth century Hindu mystic, Sri Ramakrishna..”
Sri Ramakrishna (1836-1886) was a nineteenth century figure. (Thanks to reader Dr Pradip G for pointing this out. This inadvertent error is regretted.)
